TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — No one was in a car that was struck by a CSX train in Auburndale early Friday morning.
Authorities said the train hit a sedan that was stopped on the tracks in the area of Neptune Road and U.S. Highway 92 at about 1:30 a.m.
A tow truck arrived at the scene to haul the vehicle away.
It’s still unclear how the car ended up on the tracks. Officials said no one was hurt in the incident.
