TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Authorities are investigating the death of a 6-year-old girl who was struck by a vehicle in Auburndale Wednesday morning.

A Ford F-150 hit the child around 7 a.m. on Magnolia Avenue. The driver remained at the scene, police said.

During a Wednesday morning press conference, authorities confirmed the 6-year old girl to be Ra’nesha Jackson.

The investigation is ongoing.
