Deputies in Polk County are investigating a crash involving five vehicles and some cows.
The crash happened around 7 p.m. near Highway 17 and Vigiron Road in Ft. Meade. Deputies say one of the vehicles involved in the crash was a tractor-trailer.
The sheriff’s office says four people from one of the vehicles involved were sent to the hospital. All of them are expected to be okay.
Two cows were killed in the crash. Deputies are still trying to figure out how the cows got loose.
Authorities temporarily blocked off two miles of Vigiron Road while they investigated.
