Two dozen candidates are now vying for the Democratic nomination for the White House in 2020 — but former Vice President Joe Biden is leading all of them in the polls.

Since announcing his candidacy last month, Biden has surprised many analysts with his strong support both within his party and against President Trump, currently polling 11 points ahead of trump in the latest Fox News poll.

But if 2016 taught America anything, it’s that polls don’t mean much on Election Night.

In Tampa, State Attorney Andrew Warren, representing the 13th judicial circuit (Hillsborough County), announced that he will be holding his re-election kickoff tuesday night at 5:30 at Pane Rustica in South Tampa.

On Wednesday, union representatives in Pinellas County plan to show up to the county’s transit board meeting to emand better safety changes for its bus drivers in response to a Tampa bus driver being shot over the weekend.

Also on Wednesday, the annual the annual bike ride with Venice mayor John Holic will take off at 10 a.m. from Sharky’s on the Pier. The ride will be followed by refreshments and a discussion session with the mayor to celebrate National Bike Month.

On Thursday evening at 6 p.m., convicted Tampa Bay rapist and murderer Bobby Joe Long is set to be executed. The man who terrorized bay area women in the early 1980s will be put to death by lethal injection.
