Less than four weeks from the party primaries, the political races are really heating up.

Congressman Joe Kennedy of Massachusetts–rising star in the Democratic party and grandson of Robert Kennedy–will join former governor Rep. Charlie Crist for a healthcare rally in St. Petersburg. 

The two will advocate to expand Medicaid in Florida and protect the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) in Williams Park on Tuesday at Noon.

Also on Tuesday, Polk County will vote on whether to allow alcohol sales on Sunday morning.

And Hillsborough County will conduct a logic and accuracy test of the ballot scanners that will be used in the 2018 primary election. The county wants to show off the process to ensure the accuracy and integrity of vote tabulation.

On Wednesday, the last debate for the two Republican candidates for governor.

Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam and Rep. Ron DeSantis will go head-to-head Wednesday night in Jacksonville.
