PINELLAS PARK, Fla. (WFLA) – Pinellas Park Police are investigating a single vehicle crash that happened late Saturday night at the Showtime Dragstrip, located at 4398 126th Avenue North.
Police say a man was driving his vehicle down the dragstip on property following a race event and the vehicle suddenly left the roadway and veered into a wooded area surrounding the property. Once the vehicle was located in the wooded area, police say the driver was found deceased.
The event at the Showtime Dragstrip was over and the crash was NOT a result of the event, police said.
