Pinellas Park PD arrest man after homicide investigation

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. (WFLA) – Pinellas Park Police Department has made an arrest after a homicide investigation about a man found dead in a dumpster on November 19.

Investigators have charged Corey Dean Palmer Watkins with the second degree murder of Will Joe Hodges after they identified his fingerprints at the scene in the victim’s blood.

Watkins told police he had no knowledge of Hodges’ death, even though he had previously stayed at the location where his body was found in a dumpster.

Watkins has previous arrests for domestic battery and drug possession.

He was booked into Pinellas County Jail early Sunday with no bond amount determined.
