Police are looking for a person who used a stolen credit card and a stolen ID to buy a French bulldog puppy from a pet store in Largo.

The dog is worth several thousand dollars, according to police.

Police said Bryant Farafan walked into the All About Puppies pet store, 7190 Ulmerton Road and used a stolen credit card and a stolen driver’s license to buy the dog.

Farfan is also accused of falsifying adoption records and misleading store employees about where the dog was going to live.

Surveillance video of the incident shows Farafan in women’s attire, but the suspect has been known to wear men’s clothing, according to Largo police spokesman Steve Allred.

“Employees from All About Puppies are concerned for the welfare of their animal and, together with law enforcement, are seeking any information which might lead to the recovery of the puppy in order that she might be placed in a properly vetted home,” police said in a release.

Those with information should call detectives at 727-587-6730.
