PINELLAS PARK, Fla. (WFLA) — Two people died after a Ferrari crashed head-on into another car on Sunday night, police said.
According to a release from Pinellas Park police, the crash happened on Brian Dairy Road between 66th Street N. and Belcher Road at 9:43 p.m.
Police said the Ferrari was traveling eastbound on Bryan Dairy at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control of the vehicle.
The vehicle started spinning and crossed over the median into the westbound travel lanes, where it hit an Acura head-on.
The Ferrari driver was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. The other passenger was “killed instantly,” police said.
The Acura driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital. They are expected to survive, according to police.
Police said an investigation was ongoing.
