A St. Petersburg man used his own blood as a weapon against officers on Sunday.
According to an arrest affidavit, Officer McQueen of the St. Petersburg Police Department attempted to arrest Lion Scott, 53, at a home on 30 Street North.
Scott attempted to resist arrest by striking Officer McQueen with a lamp pole.
He then attempted to stab officers with a lamp shade rod.
According to the affidavit, Scott, who had self-inflicted, bleeding wounds, then grabbed Officer McQueen and used his blood as a weapon against him.
Scott is charged with aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest with violence.
