CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — A 4-year-old boy remains in critical condition after he was struck by an SVU in Clearwater Beach Sunday morning, according to police.

The Clearwater Police Department said the boy was struck by a 2024 Ford Expedition at 430 South Gulfview Boulevard. A valet driver at Opal Sands Resort was driving the vehicle when the boy was hit.

The child was airlifted to All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg.

The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
