Pinellas Park police are investigating a shooting that took place in a parking lot on Friday.
The shooting took place in the parking lot of the Bell Apartments, located at 4030 78th Avenue, where it is believed the victim’s girlfriend lived.
It’s not known if the victim, a 20-year-old man, lived at the same location.
Investigators believe the victim was in the parking lot speaking with another person when the shooting took place.
The unknown suspect fled the scene and investigators don’t believe the shooting was a random act.
The victim was taken to Northside Hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
The victim’s identity has not been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
