An emu decided to “play chicken” in traffic with officials on Thursday.
The emu was spotted in the 3400 block of 118th Avenue.
Officers from the Pinellas Park Police Department, deputies from the Pinellas sheriff’s office and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission rounded up the emu and safely returned it to its home.
“The only thing missing from this scene was Wile E. Coyete from Looney Tunes (circa 1949),” joked a Facebook post on the Pinellas Park Police Department’s page.
