Naked but definitely not afraid.

That’s how you could describe a man seen on security camera video at the historic Chattaway restaurant in St. Petersburg.

Investigators went to the Chattaway to investigate a burglary.

They found video of the thief, but also discovered a second man in the place, walking around totally naked.

Video shows the mystery man biking to the Chattaway, goes to a storage shed, then a bathroom, and comes out naked, plays the bongos, and sits in the patio eating ramen noodles.

“He’s a great musician.  And ya know, I think he needs that chance” said Chattaway co-owner Winona Kitto.

It didn’t take long for Chattaway owners recognize him. Robert Brown plays guitar at the restaurant, and he’s homeless.

“It’s kind of a little embarrassing what happened” said Brown. He needed to clean up after going to the bathroom. “Winona said that I could use the restroom, park my car here and I did have some equipment in the back room there” said Brown.

St. Petersburg police stumbled on brown’s naked video while searching video to identify a man who broke in the night prior. He stole $500 worth of items.

“I knew I had access to the restroom.  So I went in and I cleaned myself up.  Washed my clothes.  And apparently that’s when I was naked” said Brown.

And it’s getting all kinds of attention. “I’m okay with it.  I just hope he’s okay with it. I mean not everybody wants to show their fabulous tush ya know?” said Winona Kitto.

Brown straightened out a storage shed as pay back for using the restroom. He left a supply of ramen noodles.

“I never felt like I wanted to press charges against this dude we happened upon inadvertently” said Amanda Kitto, another co-owner. She’d like police to catch the real thief.

Brown hopes his naked romp turns into a job. “I’m looking for work. I want to work” he said.

Robert Brown is living in his broken-down car. The video of him naked has gone international. He wants people to know, he’s not a thief.

He just wants to find more gigs to fix his car and survive.
