ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — St. Petersburg police investigated a shooting at a grocery store that left at least one man injured Saturday morning.

Police said that Tyrone Church, 62, fired shots at the parking lot of the MLK Food Store at 5:52 a.m.

One of the bullets hit an 84-year-old man who was sitting in his car at the time. He was taken to a hospital for a non-life-threatening wound, according to police.

Another vehicle was also hit by gunfire, but no one was hurt.

The St. Petersburg Police Department said K9 officers tracked Church down 14 minutes later. He was charged with two counts of attempted murder (not premeditated) and one count of felon in possession of a firearm.
