Man arrested for DUI manslaughter after crash that killed father, son in Seminole

Pinellas County sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man following an investigation into a fatal four-vehicle crash that killed a father and son in Seminole.

James Wolf, 60, was arrested on Tuesday at his home.

The crash happened on Park Boulevard near 104th Lane just before 7 p.m. on July 28.

Investigators say Wolf was headed west on Park Boulevard in his SUV, approaching 104th Lane, when he failed to stop at a red light and hit the back of a Lexus.

Witnesses told the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office the impact pushed the Lexus into the eastbound lanes of Park Boulevard and caused it to hit a van. Wolf’s SUV hit another SUV that was headed east.

Deputies say the driver of the Lexus, 49-year-old Edward Delzer, and his father who was a passenger, 86-year-old Harvey Delzer, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Five people in the other two cars were not injured.

Investigators say Wolf had the distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. He showed signs of impairment.

Wolf admitted to investigators he had consumed alcohol prior to the crash.

The investigation revealed Wolf’s vehicle was traveling at approximately 82 mph at the time of the crash.

Wolf is charged with two counts of DUI manslaughter.

He was taken to the Pinellas County Jail without incident.
