Clearwater police have arrested a man accused of firing a gun out of an open sunroof while driving on the Memorial Causeway Bridge.
Police said 28-year-old Jelani Dixon fired more than six rounds of the sunroof of his Volvo while driving in the westbound lanes of the Causeway around 9 a.m. Saturday morning. No one was injured.
Several witnesses called 911 to report the incident, and minutes later, police found his car in the 500 block of South Gulfview Blvd.
Dixon was arrested on the spot and charged with discharging a firearm from a vehicle in public. He was issued a $10,000 bond and remains in the Pinellas County Jail.
