Here in Tampa Bay we get ranked all the time for having great places to visit or things to do. Tripadvisor.com listed Clearwater Beach as the best beach in the United States and we went to find out why.
“It’s the nicest beach of anywhere in the world,” said Gary Mohr a beach-goer.
Trip Advisor calls it the best beach in the United States and beach-goers couldn’t agree more!
“It’s relaxing, the weather is perfect, the beach is long and has white sand, and you feel better,” said Mohr.
“We love it. The water is beautiful, it is clear, the skies are gorgeous, we are having a great time,” said Heather Tracey, a beach-goer.
Trip Advisor compiled a year’s worth of beach reviews to determine that Clearwater is the best. The best time to be on Clearwater Beach? Even Trip Advisor says year round!
Visitors agree.
“Have coffee in the morning on the beach, come down and watch the sunset, generally hangout,” said Mohr.
“We went paddle boarding yesterday and we had some great dinner last night and the kids walked around, they had entertainment on the pier,” said Tracey.
Hotels are bumping and hospitality workers are loving it!
“Busy as can be. So many guests arriving from all over the United States and worldwide. It means job security (laughs) for not only us but all the people who support our industry. We love hospitality and taking care of all the people who visit,” said Shelly Smith, director of marketing for Hilton.
From the looks and sounds of things, Clearwater Beach could be the best beach in the United States for a while.
“I feel like I should just stay here and not move. Ever,” said Mohr.
Siesta Key ranks No. 2 and Saint Pete Beach comes in at No. 7.
