Grab your tap shoes for free dance lessons this weekend

The first ever Dunedin Tap Festival is happening this Saturday, September 15.

The inaugural event is in honor the owner of Patricia Ann Dance Studio in downtown Dunedin, who sadly passed away just months ago.

“I started dancing at Miss Patty’s studio at about 8 years old. After I graduated from Largo in 2015, I ended of joining the NY Cast of Stomp,” said Kayla Cowart.

Cowart coordinated the huge effort that is now embraced by the city of Dunedin.

“The City of Dunedin is going to make this an annual event,” explained Patricia McNally, Miss Patty’s daughter.

She is now running the studio in downtown Dunedin.

The festival is free, and open to the public and will run from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
