Food service worker at popular St. Pete Beach restaurant tests positive for Hep A

Health officials in Pinellas County are urging customers of a popular St. Pete Beach restaurant to get vaccinated after an employee tested positive for Hepatitis A.

Officials with the Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County say lab tests confirm a food service worker at the Toasted Monkey on Gulf Boulevard tested positive for the disease last week.

Health officials are asking all healthcare providers to stay on high alert and immediately report any additional cases.

If you have any questions about Hepatitis A, the DOH has set up a 24-hour hotline. The number is (727) 824-6932.
