A fishing boat lit up the dark sky when it caught fire early Tuesday morning in Madeira Beach. The quick actions of firefighters prevented the fire from spreading.
According to Madeira Beach Fire Rescue, the 36 foot-long fishing boat caught fire early Tuesday morning.
Madeira Beach firefighters had the blaze under control in 12 minutes.
Firefighters from Seminole Fire Rescue, Treasure Island Fire, Pinellas Suncoast Fire and the Pinellas Park Fire Rescue Hazmat Team also responded and helped keep the fire from spreading to other boats and the docks.
No injuries were reported.
