CLEARWATER BEACH, Fla. (WFLA) — All lanes of Mandalay Avenue were closed to traffic while Clearwater firefighters responded to a fire at the Brown Boxer restaurant on Wednesday morning.

The Brown Boxer restaurant is located at 483 Mandalay Avenue.  Neighboring businesses were evacuated as a precaution.

Fire investigators say the blaze appeared to have been concentrated in the restaurant’s kitchen.

There was smoke coming from the roof when firefighters arrived.

Multiple Clearwater Fire Rescue units responded.

Firefighters from neighboring agencies also responded.
