LARGO, Fla. (WFLA) — One person was hospitalized after a Largo hotel caught fire early Monday.
Largo Fire Rescue said crews were called to the Home2 Suites Extended Stay Hotel at 10145 Ulmerton Road just after 5:30 a.m. for a fire.
Eagle 8 flew over the hotel and dozens of first responders were spotted outside.
Crews said an exterior portion of the building caught fire. They evacuated the hotel and extinguished the flames.
One person was taken to a hospital. Their condition is not known.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
