TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The FBI spent several hours inside a home in Tarpon Springs on Monday.
A Federal Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman confirmed agents were conducting “court-authorized” activity at a home in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue. Multiple agencies, including the Tarpon Springs Police Department, were there.
The exact nature of that activity was not disclosed.
“No further details can be shared at this time,” the spokeswoman said.
The home belongs to Curtis Sanders who was interviewed by WFLA TV in January of 2022 about an unrelated matter.
Sanders did not want to comment on the FBI’s activity today.
Ronald Davis said he woke up around 4:30 a.m. and saw officers in front of a home down the street.
“Bunch of cars with flashing lights, that’s all,” Davis said.
Other neighbors were surprised to see the FBI since Sanders is know around the neighborhood for helping others.
”He do help the kids out,” Toni Carmichael said. “He help everybody in this neighborhood. He a real good dude.”
The Tarpon Springs Police Department assisted the FBI with its operation and referred all questions to the bureau.
