Clearwater Police seeking 2 suspects accused of shoplifting a Dollar General and injuring employee

Clearwater Police need your help locating two suspects who shoplifted items from a Dollar General store and dragged a store employee 20 feet with their car.

Police say the two suspects shoplifted items from the Dollar General store at 1600 North Myrtle Avenue.

When a store employee tried to confront them in the parking lot, the driver threw the car in reverse, which trapped the man between the door and car frame. He then was dragged for about 20 feet before falling to the pavement. 

The victim was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg and treated for minor injuries. The two face potential strong-arm robbery and aggravated battery charges.

The suspects left in a Black Nissan Altima with a temporary tag and one of the suspects has rainbow-colored hair.
