UPDATE | Police say a dog found near an Clearwater intersection Thursday has been reunited with its owner.

According to police, the dog, who had no tag or identification was chipped and the owner was identified and later reunited with the pup who is named Dallas.

“It’s a tail-wagging ending to a doggone good story. A veritable hound happy ending.” 

ORIGINAL STORY | Clearwater police are hoping to find the owner of what appears to be a husky found near Drew Street and Garden Avenue. 

Officer Paloma found the dog this morning and stopped by the headquarters to give it something to drink, police said.

The agency shared a video of the thirsty pup enjoying a bowl of water.

Police said the male pooch had no tag or other identification.

The dog was taken to a local veterinarian to be evaluated.
