(CLEARWATER,Fla.) – Clearwater Police have arrested two suspects who shoplifted items from a Dollar General store and dragged a store employee 20 feet with their car.
Police say Makini Harris and Tashada Bryant shoplifted items from the Dollar General store at 1600 North Myrtle Avenue.
When a store employee tried to confront them in the parking lot, the driver threw the car in reverse, which trapped the man between the door and car frame. He then was dragged for about 20 feet before falling to the pavement. The victim was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg and treated for minor injuries.
Bryant, the driver of the getaway vehicle, was charged with strong arm robbery. Harris was charged with accessory after the fact. Both have multiple previous arrests throughout Pinellas County
