Clearwater Marine Aquarium dolphin makes its pick for Super Bowl winner

CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — Clearwater Marine Aquarium’s Nicholas the Dolphin has made his pick for who will win the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Nicholas swam over to the glass where there were logos for the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers.

Nicholas used his rostrum to pick the 49ers to win the game.

In a second run, the aquarium added a photo of Taylor Swift to the mix, which Nicholas chose.

The dolphin has been with the aquarium since he was 6 months old and got the name Nicholas because he was found on Christmas Eve in 2002, according to the aquarium.

Nicholas has been making picks for the Super Bowl, Stanley Cup, NBA Finals, World Series, World Cup, and NCAA Championships since 2017, correctly picking five of the six champions that year.

In 2021, he correctly predicted the winners of the Rose Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Outback Bowl, College Football National Championship and World Series.

Last year, Nicholas correctly predicted the Chiefs would beat the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.
