CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — Clearwater’s “Spring Break Service” is back, offering free parking seven days a week through April 27.

“If you ever try to get on the beach, it’s just gridlocked,” Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority Communications Manager Stephanie Weaver said. “It takes an hour just to get out to the beach, and now we’re taking cars off the road, putting them in a packed trolley, and getting them to the beach where they need to go.”

She said 35,000 people took advantage of the service in 2023.

You can find the parking locations below:

“That would be great to have the kids in one spot and not have to fight traffic on the way over here,” said Joe Dellavalle, who visited Clearwater Beach Sunday morning.

Next, a free shuttle will take you to the Clearwater Marina near Pier 60.

The service will run every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Friday through Sunday, you can expect the shuttle every 15 minutes.

The service will also extend through midnight on Friday and Saturday nights.

“Especially when we’re trying to get out at the end of the day and you’re trying to time when their naps are and stuff too. It’s a lot easier if you know the shuttle will be there, and you can just make your way over,” Dellavalle explained.

You can take your beach equipment like chairs, coolers, umbrellas even wagons on the shuttles.

All of the trolleys and shuttles are also wheelchair accessible.
