Largo police have arrested two men in connection with the shooting death of a 32-year-old man.

On April 20, police say Ricardo Guzman called 911 to say he had been shot at an apartment complex in the 16300 block of Bolesta Road.

When officers arrived, they found Guzman alive in a vehicle outside of the complex. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Before he was shot, police said the victim had met 28-year-old Daniel Curtis Battle and 17-year-old Malique Devon Gary to conduct a drug transaction. Police said the two men had tried to rob Guzman and shot him four times.

Battle was arrested for first-degree murder, driving with a suspended or revoked license and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Gary was arrested on a first-degree murder charge.

Both men are being held at the Pinellas County Jail as police continue the investigation into the shooting.
