TAMPA, FL (WFLA) – A young male alligator was trapped at a community park in Tampa Friday morning.
It happened at the Richmond Place community park. The young gator was about 6 feet 3 inches.
The gator trapper Robb Upthegrove, who is a licensed trapper, said this was the third alligator he had trapped in the last 24 hours.
He reminded not to feed or try to touch an alligator if you see one – it’s mating season for the reptiles now, they are particularly dangerous.
Be sure to let your friends and family know it’s currently alligator mating season. HERE ARE SAFETY TIPS.
