Pasco toddler rescued from pond

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. (WFLA)- A two-year-old boy was involved in a near drowning in a pond near 9235 Yellow Lake Dr. in New Port Richey.

Pasco County Fire Rescue paramedics got the call just after 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Pasco County Public Information Officer Dough Tobin said when paramedics arrived on scene they performed life saving measures.

Tobin revealed that he expected the boy to be flown to a Tampa area hospital for further treatment.

Officials did not reveal the boy’s condition or how he ended up in the pond.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office were on scene Wednesday night conducting an investigation into the incident.
