Police say two men were killed late Saturday night in a crash involving a motorcycle on US Highway 19 in Pasco County.
New Port Richey police officers were called to US 19 near Palmetto Road around 10:30 p.m. for the crash.
According to investigators, a 41-year-old St. Pete man was driving a motorcycle north on US 19 when he hit a man who was crossing the highway. Police say the pedestrian was not in a designated crosswalk at the time.
Both the motorcyclist and the pedestrian were pronounced dead at the scene. Neither victim has been identified by police.
Investigators do not believe speed was a factor in the crash. They are still working to determine if alcohol or drugs played a role.
