HUDSON, Fla. (WFLA) — The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of skeletal remains found in Hudson on Tuesday.

A spokeswoman confirmed with News Channel 8 that the heavy police presence in the area of US-19 and Hudson Avenue was related to the investigation.

On Tuesday, authorities spent hours behind crime scene tape but did not release additional information surrounding the incident. On Wednesday morning, a team of homicide detectives with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office returned to the scene to further their investigation.

News Channel 8 is working to gather additional information as the investigation continues.
