A Pasco woman who has collected hockey sticks since she was a little girl recently discovered her most prized piece of memorabilia had been stolen.

Kathy Dimitry has lived in the Tampa Bay Area for the last 30 years. She is rooting for the Bolts, but her heart is always with her hometown team, the Chicago Blackhawks.

Dimitry was 11 when Hall of Famer Bobby Hull gave her her first hockey stick and signed it.

“He had as everyone in the dressing room, as many guys as he could sign it. Which was almost the whole team and he handed it to me after the game,” said Dimitry.

Dimitry was keeping the stick with others she’s collected in the garage, and realized it was gone!

“People that know me know I had that stick and the signatures on it, it is priceless to me. it is priceless,” said Dimitry.

Dimitry is hoping someone will have a change of heart and bring back the stick. For Dimitry, it is more than just an athlete’s signature, it represents memories with her family.

“My mom’s passed away, my brother my other brother and those were sticks I got for them,” said Dimitry.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is looking into the case.
