A Spring Hill man has been charged with DUI Manslaughter after a toxicology report showed he was under the influence of marijuana and had a blood alcohol content level of 0.136 when hit a motorcyclist back in October. 

Donald Patenaude, 29, was driving on U.S. 19 on Oct. 25 when he hit Paul Mello’s motorcycle when was attempting to make a U-Turn on U.S. 19 and entered the path of Patenaude’s vehicle. 

Both vehicles caught fire and Mello later died from his injuries.

Patenaude now faces charges of DUI Manslaughter and Obstruction.
