The crash occurred on US 19, just south of New York Avenue around 8:15 p.m.
Troopers said a 2003 Kawasaki operated by Patrick McKinney, 29, of Hudson, was flying down the inside lane of the highway at a high rate of speed and suddenly overtook a 2004 Ford 150, causing the crash.
McKinney and his 24-year-old passenger were ejected from the motorcycle and sustained serious injuries. The passenger died at the scene. Her name has not been released at this time pending notification of kin.
Troopers said McKinney was taken to Bayonet Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
The driver of the truck, Teresa Barthle, 50, and her passenger, Gary Cooper, 53, were not injured.
