PASCO COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – A man was arrested for drunk driving after his vehicle hit a patrol car in Pasco County on Saturday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
At about 5 p.m., Trooper Raeford Griffin responded to reports of an unconscious driver at the intersection of State Road 54 and Wesley Chapel Boulevard.
According to a crash report, Griffin positioned his patrol car in front of the driver’s vehicle to stop it from rolling into traffic. When the driver regained consciousness, he put the vehicle into drive and hit the front of the patrol car.
No injuries were reported.
The driver, 56-year-old Stephen McCaslin of Land O’ Lakes was arrested for driving under the influence, according to the report.
