Three new attractions are coming to Orlando this year. The Orlando Eye, a large observation wheel, Madame Tussauds wax museum and the SEA LIFE Aquarium are scheduled to open on May 4, 2015.

Merlin Entertainments, which operates LEGOLAND Florida in Winter Haven, is the owner of the attractions. The company on Tuesday announced the opening dates for the attractions. The attractions are part of the International Drive 360 complex.

The Orlando Eye is a 400-feet-tall observation wheel that is a sister attraction to London’s world-famous “London Eye.” The Orlando Eye will give riders a sweeping view of Central Florida and on a clear day, guests will be able to see the east coast and the Kennedy Space Center. The cantilevered wheel will have 30 air conditioned glass capsules for passengers to ride in.

Madame Tussauds pays tribute to celebrities and historical figures with detailed, lifelike wax figurines. The 25,000-square-foot indoor attraction features themed rooms including a A-List Party, History & Leaders, Sports, Music, Authentic History and more. A presentation video explains the history of Madame Tussauds and shows how the wax figurines are made.

Pop singer and actress Selena Gomez is the first celebrity wax figure to arrive at the Orlando Madame Tussauds. Other celebrities include Dan Marino and singer Ricky Martin.

There are no ropes or barriers at Madame Tussauds, visitors can touch, be photographed and interact with the figures whether it is on “a date” with George Clooney or playing football against David Beckham

SEA LIFE Orlando will offer underwater displays of more than 5,000 creatures including colorful fish, sharks, sea horses, jellyfish and more at the 25,000-square-foot indoor attraction. Guests will be able to view the sea life in winding tunnels, floor-to-ceiling tanks and bubble aquariums.

The Orlando Eye website lists ticket prices as $18 for adults and $13 for children. A combo ticket package for admission to the Orlando Eye, SEA LIFE and Madame Tussauds is $35 for adults and $30 for children.

As of Feb. 13, individual tickets prices for SEA LIFE and Madame Tussauds had not been announced on the attractions’ websites.
