ABBOTSHAM, Devon (WCMH)–A theme park in southwestern England has a new roller coaster–but management is asking guests not to scream while riding it because it is close to a residential area.

BBC News reported that owners of family amusement park The Big Sheep put up a warning sign after people living nearby raised concerns over the new ride.

The new ride is called The Big One and reaches heights up to 42 feet over its quarter-mile run. It opened at the park this Easter.

Owner Rick Turner told the BBC his message to customers was “unless they’re absolutely petrified, please please don’t scream too much”. He said some locals have been concerned about noise from the park for years.

The park spent over £200,000 ($287,660) to build a noise-reducing bank in the middle of the ride.WHAT OTHERS ARE CLICKING ON RIGHT NOW:
