TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Donald Trump echoed his appeals black and Hispanic voters in a one on one interview with WLFA Wednesday. “I say give me a chance I will fix the inner cities I’ll bring jobs back, I’ll bring education to a much higher level. I just say give me a chance. I don’t like the expression, ‘you can’t do worse’ because frankly they can’t do worse. I will do a great job and I say to African Americans voters, you vote for Donald Trump it’s going to be a whole different story because they really have been hurt over the past 8 years,” said Trump to News Channel 8.
We asked Trump if he was softening his stance on immigration and still planned on deporting 11 million immigrants. “We have a very very strong stance and we are going to build a wall. It’s going to be a wall like no other. We are going to do things that are very very strong. Only the right people, only people who go through a very very tough vetting process are coming into the country,” said Trump.
“I think we have a very strong stance but a fair stance. I use the word humane, it’s a humane stance. It’s very very strong. The wall goes up, people come into our country but they come in through a legal process. It’s very important we want people to come into the country but they have to come in through a legal process,” said Trump.
Trump recommitted to his call for a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton and her time as Secretary of State after a report detailed how people who gave to the Clinton Foundation were given access to her. “When those people go in, they’re not going in to say ‘morning madam secretary. How are you feeling today?’ They’re going in, i know some of those people, and they’re going in looking for action. They’re looking for things, big things, tremendous things and they’re getting them,” said Trump.
In recent weeks Trump has admitted he said some “wrong things” but wouldn’t say exactly what when asked today. “No i don’t want to talk about that. I just think that every once in a while I could probably make statement maybe a little bit differently. A lot of people like my statements frankly,” said Trump. “I’m a very honest person I’m an honorable person but if i soften things up in terms of statements made, that would be okay,” he added.RELATED: Who lies more, Clinton or Trump?
