TAMPA, FL (WFLA) — The incoming University of South Florida head football coach, Charlie Strong, was introduced Thursday on the USF campus.

Strong comes to the Bulls after three years with the Texas Longhorns. Strong was fired the day after coaching his final game with the Longhorns last month, after a second straight 5-7 season. Before going to Texas, Strong was 37-15 in four seasons (2010-13) at Louisville.

At No. 25 USF, he replaces Willie Taggart, who left last week to become head coach at University of Oregon.

The Bulls went 10-2 this season and finished second in the American Athletic Conference East division to league champion Temple.
