YAN’AN CITY, CHINA (WFLA) – It was a scary scene caught on video by an eyewitness.
A white SUV was in danger of being swept by floodwaters in a large sinkhole on Saturday.
The hole was estimated to be more than 30 square feet wide.
People scrambled to save the SUV. They tied rope to the vehicle and then dozens of people pulled on the SUV to prevent it from falling into the hole.
The city saw more than 5 1/2 inches of rain in one day.
The flooding blocked roads, caused 20 streets to cave in and toppled retaining walls.
