TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A trip to the bathroom on a flight from Salt Lake City to New Orleans was quite memorable for one Delta passenger.
According to a Reddit post, a man named Brent got up to use the bathroom during the flight and got stuck after the door jammed.
Brent’s wife said she wondered where her husband was after he was missing for five minutes. About 10 minutes later, she said she overheard a flight attendant say the word “stuck” and realized her husband was trapped in the bathroom.
Meanwhile, two Delta flight attendants were seen yanking the bathroom door handle attempting to free Brent.
Eventually, the pilot was called over to help Brent make his great escape.
A video showed the pilot kicking and pulling the bathroom door. The door finally gave after Brent gave it a big kick while the pilot pulled on it.
Brent was seen shaking the pilot’s hand after he helped free him.
Brent’s wife said he was trapped in the bathroom for about 35 minutes.
Delta sent the following statement to News Channel 8:
“We have been in contact with the customer following this situation with an offer of apology and are investigating the situation to better understand the root cause and make any changes, as needed, to address the matter going forward.”
