Save the date! “Space Jam 2” is set to hit theaters.
The movie, starring LeBron James alongside Warner Bros. animated characters, comes to theaters on July 16, 2021. Filming is expected to start this summer.
James’ production company Springhill Entertainment confirmed the release date via Twitter today.
Oakland native and Sacramento State University graduate Ryan Coogler is set to produce the film. The sequel is following the 1996 film that starred Michael Jordan.
Coogler also directed the hit “Black Panther.”
