WASHINGTON D.C. (NBC News) – Big Bird and all of his Sesame Street friends stopped by Martha’s Table in Washington D.C. Friday morning.
The visit is part of Sesame Street’s nationwide road trip in celebration of the show’s 50th anniversary.
Sesame Workshop and Martha’s Table are some of the non-profit organizations helping out with the tour.
Their goal is to encourage kids to learn more and make happy and healthy choices.
The famous Count Von Count was on-hand to speak to members of the media about his visit to D.C. Of course, his favorite part is counting all the things that the city had to offer.
The Sesame Street road trip will be going to 10 different locations across the states and will continue through the summer.
The group’s next stop is Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
