ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WESH) – Three people were injured Tuesday when an airboat overturned in the St. Johns River in Orange County, authorities said.
The boat overturned shortly after 1 p.m. near Christmas.
Fire officials said eight people were on board when the boat overturned. Three people were taken to a hospital for treatment and one of them was flown out in a medical helicopter.
The incident is being investigated by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
