RIVERVIEW, Fla. (WFLA) – A paralyzed Tampa Bay area Marine veteran and his family are waking up in their new, mortgage-free home this morning.

U.S. Marine Corporal Anthony Trzeciak was officially honored on Saturday with his new Riverview home.

The new house was built from the ground up, specifically for Corporal Trzeciak by Building Homes for Heroes.

In 2011, while serving in Afghanistan, his vehicle rolled over an IED device – injuring his back. His injuries later led to an infection that paralyzed him from the waist down.

News Channel 8 was there as Anthony, his wife, and two kids entered the home for the first time. The house is complete with a no step front door, specially retrofitted kitchen and laundry room along with a handicap-accessible bathroom.WHAT OTHERS ARE CLICKING ON RIGHT NOW:
