WINONA, Miss. (WFLA/WTVA) – A man walking his dogs in Mississippi Friday morning heard the whimpers of another dog in trouble and tracked the sound to a storm drain.
Arlin Pearson found the dog and took a video of animal control officers rescuing the stuck pup.
Once it was free, the dog appeared to be okay, walking around and wagging its tail.
Authorities believe the dog may have chased a chipmunk or squirrel into the drain and couldn’t get out.
