SARASOTA, FL (WFLA) — The 21-year-old man wanted for the murder of an 18-year-old Bradenton girl was arrested Wednesday night.
Devon Lee Freeman was arrested in Sarasota and charged with second-degree murder in the death of Moriah Hope Goode.
Freeman, of Sarasota, will be transported back to Manatee County where he will face a first appearance.
Moriah Goode was shot to death at the 3300 block of 4th St. East just after 4:30 p.m. on November 6th. She was transported to the hospital by a witness, where she was pronounced dead. In 2013, Goode was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. Family, friends and classmates held a carnival and raised $30,000 for stem cell research. The treatments worked sending the disease into remission.
